The Society is a registered charity (No. 264425) and Friends are encouraged to pay their subscriptions by Gift Aid to enable the Society to recover the tax element of these donations. A number of social events are organised throughout the year to raise funds for the Society. A 100 Club operates as a fundraiser.

There are also opportunities for local businesses to sponsor the Society. The Society offers sponsors the following benefits:

• Advertising package tailored to requirements
• Tickets to concerts to entertain guests or staff
• Acknowledgement in our annual brochure and on this website
• Acknowledgement in our publicity material for each concert
• Prominent advertising in our programmes and for each concert
• Acknowledgement in our regular newsletters which are circulated to c. 300 members and Friends of the Society
