Fundraising
As with any amateur organisation, fundraising is an integral part of
Norwich Philharmonic life. Not only does it make an invaluable contribution
towards Philharmonic music-making, but it is a great way for Philharmonic

The Phil Chorus, conducted by David Dunnett, supported the Come and Sing Mozart Requiem on 31 October 2015 in Norwich Cathedral, helping to raise £3,400 for Priscilla Bacon Lodge and Hospice Ethiopia |

Support at our 2103 Christmas Concert for the Teenage Cancer Trust was amazing. We were able to present the Trust with a cheque for £1,342.08, thanks to contributions on the night from audience and Society members. |

A good time was had by all at our Spring Ball at the Assembly House in April. With an excellent meal, and dancing to The O'Fenders, tickets and other fundraisers at the event brought in a total of £500 for Society Funds. Thanks to everyone who helped, and in particular, Sally West-Lindell. |
A total of £452.50 was raised for the Norfolk County Youth Orchestra at our Christmas Concert 2012. |
The Norwich Philharmonic Society Spring Ball was held at at Dunston Hall on 9th April 2011, to celebrate the 170th season of the Norwich Philharmonic Society, was a great success raising over £600. |
At our Christmas concert 2011, we had a collection for the Help for Heroes charity. Contributions over the evening totalled £1,263. A fantastic achievement! Well done to all who helped. |
Our 123 Come and Sing! event in October 2011 raised over £200The Norwich Phil Chorus recently held a 123sing fundraising event in St.Peter Mancroft ChurchThe money raised will go to the Classic FM Foundation, which raises thousands of pounds for music therapy for sick and disabled children - a really valuable cause. At our 2009 Christmas Concert we collected £655.93 by taking part in the BBC's 'Sing Hallelujah' project to raise money for Children in Need. Sing Hallelujah encouraged people across the UK to find their voices and discover the joy of singing. The BBC wanted to get thousands of people singing Handel's famous Hallelujah Chorus as a celebration of one of the most popular choral pieces in the world... and we were part of it!!! |
